Phoenix Comicon

What a long and amazing weekend! I spent it at the Phoenix Comicon in loverly downtown Phoenix, AZ. It may have been hot outside, but inside the convention center was downright sizzling! The building itself had the sweet smell of popcorn permeating every hallway. It was heavenly! Panels by Max Brooks, Leonard Nimoy, George Takai, Adam Baldwin, Robert Duncan McNeill kept me busy and provided endless hours of side splitting funny. Zombies roamed the halls. Steampunk costumes and art filled my eyes. More super hero's that you can shake a stick at. I've got over 8GB of video and photos to transcribe and edit. So here is a nice little teaser video of the weekend! Ishi: The Last Yahi

   Ishi (c1861 – March 25, 1916) was the last known member of the Native American Yahi people from the present-day state of California in the United States. The rest of the Yahi (as well as many members of their parent tribe, the Yana) were killed in the California genocide in the 19th century. Ishi, who was widely acclaimed as the "last wild Indian" in the United States, lived most of his life isolated from modern North American culture. In 1911, aged 50, he emerged at a barn and corral, 2 mi (3.2 km) from downtown Oroville, California. Ishi, which means "man" in the Yana language, is an adopted name. The anthropologist Alfred Kroeber gave him this name because, in the Yahi culture, tradition demanded that he not speak his own name until formally introduced by another Yahi. Suicidal Angels is a refreshing old school thrash band that blows your mind. Every riff is wicked. The drumming is hard hitting. Everything about "Divide and Conquer" just clicks.
