The Browning - Hypernova

Image
If you are looking for a straight forward coherent review of The Browning - Hypernova... look else where. I can not walk nor write a straight line when listening to Hypernova. It's just that jaunty! See there, I get to use that word again! jajajajajaa But seriously. Forget what I've said in the past. The Browning have created the best damn music put to well, whatever means you have the album this entire year. Words utterly fail me! Hypernova is blistering. Hypernova is hypnotic. Hypernova is science fiction on steroids. Hypernova is a musical version of a Neil Gaiman opus. Hypernova is ethereal. Hypernova is headbanging deliciousness. Hypernova is fresh. Hypernova is innovative. Hypernova is new wave done right. Hypernova is industrial delight. Hypernova is music that makes Germans happy. Hypernova is explosive. I would fail miserably if I had to give you a track by track listing of Hypernova. I just can't do it. I feel like an ADHD kid... squirrel!!!!!!

Skeletonwitch "Unfit" for Disney but Perfect For a Wedding

Fresh off a short run of dates supporting Ghost B.C., Athens, Ohio-based blackened metal quintet, SKELETONWITCH , has announced a hometown release party for their forthcoming new full-length, Serpents Unleashed . The show will take place at The Union (18 W. Union St., Athens) on  October 23rd , the eve of the kickoff to their extensive North American fall tour with The Black Dahlia Murder. Tickets for the event are just $10. The Black Dahlia tour will be swiftly followed by another lap around America in early 2014 alongside Amon Amarth and Enslaved. Unfortunately for fans in Orlando however, where the tour stops on  January 27th ,  SKELETONWITCH  will not be allowed to perform at the local House of Blues, as the group has joined the likes of Exodus, Machine Head and others deemed "unfit to be associated with" Disney, on whose property the venue is located. Although  SKELETONWITCH  might be unwelcomed at the Magic Kingdom, a California couple has asked the band to make their

October Friday Night Dance Party!!

SQUEEEEEE it's that time of the month again! Another first Friday rolls around. I had some grand plan to do a Halloween themed or Autumn themed Dance Party. But then I just said fok all! I"m gonna roll with what I like. So that means there will be copious amounts of Diamond Plate and The Browning as both bands have new albums out! Diamond Plate - Pulse on iTunes The Browning - Hypernova on iTunes Monks of Mellonwah - Afraid To Die on Bandcamp Diamond Plate - Rainmaker Can you tell I really really LOVE Diamond Plate ??!! They are just gobsmackingly amazing and a force live! The guitar work on this reminds me of Triumph . It's a whole 70s rock power vibe! Then it slides effortlessly into a Slayer thing. The vocals have a tinge of Jim Morrison and a tinge of Tom Araya . It's spine tingling and haunting. Monks of Mellonwah - I Belong To You This is the perfect song for those long autumn nights. Grab someone special and hold them close. "I Belong To Y
